The PNG Power Savings and Loans Society has confirmed that approval has been given to host its 2020 Annual General Meeting this month in Port Moresby.

PPSSLS General Manager Mr Eliakim ToBolton confirmed that on Saturday October 24th, 2020 (this month) it will hold its Annual General Meeting at the Holiday Inn Ball-room, following approval given by the Covid-19 National Control Centre.

Mr ToBolton said the delay of hosting this AGM was a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic that struck NCD and parts of the country this year, and with the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 NCC as well as from its regulator, the Bank of PNG.

“I am now pleased to inform all our members, whom mostly are PNG Power employees, that our AGM will proceed in line with the current Covid-19 protocols. All Port Moresby based members are requested to note that there will be a maximum number of 50 members only, allowed to sit in for the AGM on the day. This is part of the Covid-19 protocol so those that cannot make it, we will do live-streaming of the proceedings so they can watch from the comfort of their homes or next to the venue,” Mr ToBolton said.

“Our team is currently working on this arrangement to be made available to all members both within and outside of Port Moresby. We shall advise further on details of this arrangement in a follow up circular in due course.”
